Like it or not, therapy is messy stuff. Complex problems require creative solutions. No single therapeutic approach has a monopoly on healing—it’s more important to be flexible and tailor my approach to the needs of each person and family. All clients deserve a real-world approach to mental health and a safe, supportive place to share their struggles and reclaim their sense of self—without feeling pressured to appear strong, perfect, or in control. My goal is to make therapy as manageable as possible, with a lot of laughter along the way. Many clients have shared with me that my informal, collaborative, and humorous approach helps them to reach their psychotherapy goals quickly and in ways that feel rewarding and empowering.
